River Valley Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full time large animal veterinarian at our Reedsburg location. We are a two site, mixed animal practice in beautiful southwest Wisconsin. The area offers many outdoor activities, including bike trails, hiking, Devil’s Lake and Lake Redstone. Madison is only an hour away, allowing easy access to all the amenities and attractions of city life.
Between the two locations, we have five large animal and two small animal veterinarians, one CVT and eight support staff. We see predominantly dairy, with a small amount of beef, small ruminant, and swine. We have a large animal haul-in facility (in Plain) for surgeries, processing cattle or overnight critical calf care. The clinic will provide necessary equipment, including a truck and stocked vet box, ultrasound, cell phone, coveralls and boots.
Duties would include reproductive herd health programs with ultrasound, herd-wide preventative medicine, and ambulatory services for individual cow treatments and surgeries. On-call is shared evenly amongst the large animal veterinarians.
