This positional is ideal for either the experienced DVM or the new graduate. Kenosha is located on the west shore of Lake Michigan, 45 minutes south of Milwaukee, 1 hour north of Chicago and only two hours from Madison or Green Bay. You have easy access to a wide variety of attractions that include theater concert performances, fine dining, summer festivals, upscale shopping as well as sporting events, including the Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Admirals; and of course, the Green Bay Packers. Outdoor enthusiasts will have endless opportunities, whether on land, on the nearby inland lakes, or Lake Michigan. You can enjoy a small city or country relaxed lifestyle and be just a short distance from all the amenities that large metropolitan communities offer. We are a growing, well-established, fully equipped, paper-lite hospital that will be starting an expansion / remodeling project this spring. We will have eleven exam rooms, four smaller waiting areas, dedicated spaces for dental surgery, ultrasonography, laser therapy, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery and have the latest technology supporting patient care, anesthesia monitoring, in- house laboratory, and a fully stocked pharmacy. We have an Internist that spends one to two days a week to manage our advanced abdominal ultrasounds, echocardiograms, endoscopy,and consultations on complicated medical cases. We believe in alternative therapies, including spinal manipulation, laser therapy, physical therapy with an underwater treadmill, PRP and Stem Cell Therapies. We manage cancer patients with chemotherapy and when indicated, cancer vaccine treatments. We employ a gentle approach with our patients, strive to develop a fun work atmosphere where we encourage a strong and healthy work life and family balance. We offer a four-day work week and limited ½ day Saturdays, a generous compensation and benefits package, including ProSal (which should allow a potential starting income of $110,00 to130,000), 401k, health and dental insurance, liability insurance,professional dues, CE allowance, VIN, Wisconsin Veterinary License, DEA license, personal pet discounts, paid vacation/sick/personal time. There is an emergency / specialty center only a few miles away that covers all after hour emergency and referral cases. We would be happy to discuss a signing on / retention bonus.
