PT – FT / Appleton, WI
DVM needed for the Fox Valley Humane Association in Appleton, Wisconsin. Job duties would be 80% clinical work and 20% administrative duties. Familiarity with high quality, high volume spay and neuter surgery required, along with a knowledge of shelter diseases, and their treatment and management. Dentistry skills are also required. Having or developing surgical skills beyond spay and neuter is ideal. Administrative duties include overseeing equipment acquisition and maintenance, monitoring drug ordering and costs, evaluating programs for public owned pets and other rescue organizations, and working with the executive director and board of directors to ensure financial sustainability of the medical department.
Our department consists of two DVM’s, two CVT’s, and three veterinary assistants. We have DR digital radiology and in house Idexx Catalyst and ProCyte.
Compensation based on experience. Benefits for full time include a Simple IRA with a 3% employer match, CE allowance, PTO package, and a stipend for medical insurance, if needed.
