Join the foaling discussion as Dr. Sarah Eaton takes participants through field management of equine neonates. The course will begin with a review of normal parturition, followed by a discussion of dystocia causes and management. The second half of the course will cover assessment strategies for normal and sick neonates, how to stabilize a sick neonate in the field, and treatment plans for foals.

Sarah Eaton, DVM, DACT, CVA, ABVP
Dr. Eaton is a board-certified theriogenologist at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine. A Purdue University graduate, Dr. Eaton practiced in mixed animal, racetrack, broodmare and referral practices prior to entering teaching. Her main interests include broodmare health, neonatal medicine and improving collegiality within the veterinary profession. She is also an acupuncturist and recently obtained her ABVP-Equine diplomate status.
