H5N1 Update: Diagnosing and Managing in Cats and Updates for Poultry and Dairy
As H5N1 continues to mutate and spread in several states, it’s more important than ever to stay updated on the latest developments. Recent case series have shown H5N1 in cats that drank retail raw milk. In this high-priority webinar, we’ll discuss the challenges of diagnosing and managing H5N1 in cats, the need for guidance for small-animal owners and veterinary clinics for biosecurity and biosafety, and the potential for multiple wild bird introductions on farms. We’ll also present updates on poultry and dairy infections in various states, emphasizing the need for increased surveillance and response efforts.
This webinar was originally recorded on February 19, 2025 with the information available at that time.
