Field sedation and anesthesia in horses don't have to be anxiety-inducing, nail-biting experiences! With a focus on practical, take-home strategies, you'll learn how blending advanced science with everyday fieldwork can take the apprehension out of equine anesthesia.

This lecture dives into what ambulatory veterinarians can do to make sedation and anesthesia safer, smoother, and more predictable out in the field. We'll discuss the latest refinements in triple drip techniques, how small adjustments and alternative drug choices can affect cardiovascular stability and recovery quality, and connect the dots with cardiology insights that may explain why some horses sedate better than others.
