Common Oral Pathology Seen Every Day in Dogs
During this two-part presentation, Dr. Goldstein will review common oral disease that is seen at a young age all the way up to older ages in dogs. Part one of this two-hour presentation will address opportunities and problems veterinarians encounter every day in practice with young dogs. Specifically, Dr. Goldstein will discuss deciduous teeth, malocclusions, overcrowding, missing/impacted teeth, and supernumerary teeth. The second hour will address abrasions, enamel hypoplasia, gingival overgrowth, fractured teeth, and dental radiology.

Gary S. Goldstein, DVM, FAVD, DipAVDC
Dr. Goldstein graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. In 1987 he became a Charter Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and in 1992 he became Board Certified in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Goldstein was Professor, section head of the Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery service for thirteen years and associate medical director at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center for five of those years. He was responsible for medical operations, strategic planning, and implementation of medical standards. He also implemented leading edge didactic and clinical programs that fostered innovation, teamwork, and continuing education programs.
Dr. Goldstein currently works at Lakefield Veterinary Group as the Executive Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions.
