WVMA Online Learning
Included in 2024 Member Dues
New Website Platform Features Auto-Renewal Convenience
Thank you for your commitment to the WVMA and the Wisconsin veterinary community. Before we ask you to renew for 2024, we want to share a powerful story that underscores the impact of your membership.
Earlier this year, a bill was proposed that could have prohibited veterinarians from using their hard-earned specialty medical titles such as anesthesiologist, dermatologist, oncologist, surgeon, etc. This posed a significant threat to our profession in Wisconsin.
As your membership dues play a pivotal role in monitoring and advocating against unfavorable legislation, the WVMA engaged with legislators through meetings, calls, letters, and public testimony.
On October 2, we rallied approximately 100 members to reach out to six Wisconsin state senators to ask them to vote “no” on the bill in Committee. Our impact was undeniable. The bill failed by committee vote on October 4. Through our advocacy program, our voice was heard in the Wisconsin State Legislature.
Beyond advocacy, we have new and exciting changes for 2024. Access to the WVMA Online Learning Library will now be included in your membership. Access begins January 1 and will also include new 2024 courses, both live and OnDemand. Additionally, we are planning many engaging social and educational events and will continue to deliver important news and information.
Your membership dues truly make a difference.
Please take this moment to renew your 2024 WVMA membership.
