Hour 1: Introduction to the Neurologic Examination — Heidi Barnes Heller, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Has it been awhile since you’ve performed a neurologic examination? Looking to brush up on your skills or learn new techniques? This session will focus on practicing the neurologic examination with an emphasis on its relationship to basic neuroanatomy. The information from this seminar will help veterinarians feel more comfortable with normal and abnormal findings from the neurologic exam, as well as assembling the findings in order to neurolocalize the lesion.
Hour 2: Intracranial Disease — Helena Rylander, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
This session will focus on neuroanatomic localization of the brain, in particular the vestibular system. Clinical Cases will be described including neuroanatomical localization and some common differential diagnoses.
