SVS Imaging is seeking a certified veterinary technician to fill the role of a mobile veterinary ultrasonographer in South Central Wisconsin and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic quality echo and general sonography studies on animals in which training will be provided. The ability to perform fine needle aspiration procedures is also required. This position requires an understanding of anatomy and the ability to recognize abnormalities. Attention to detail and time management is critical in order to submit timely reports to our clients. Sonographers are expected to provide exceptional customer service and show respect to clients, patients and fellow team members. The ability to interact and adapt with poise and professionalism to different circumstances which can arise when dealing with many separate clients and their staff is essential. Additionally, the sonographer must have the capability to adjust to and manage changes in a timely manner to service our clients and their patients.
Duties and Responsibilities -Perform studies on an ultrasound provided by SVS Imaging. -Transport equipment to and from clinics daily, often involving travel to more than one clinic within a day. -Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, teammates, and colleagues at all levels. -Assist in account management of clinics by organizing schedules, scheduling patients, and educating staff and veterinarians on testing modalities, procedures, and processes. -Support and assist in the development of market growth strategies. -Actively participate in monthly market and in-service sonography meetings. -Independently troubleshoot issues in the field when they arise and deliver prompt solutions, requesting assistance when needed. -Clean and maintain all clinical equipment. -Complete and maintain required certifications, registries, and continuing education.
Qualifications -High school diploma or equivalent with formal training and graduation from an accredited veterinary technician program. -Current veterinary technician license. -Previous experience with holding of patients for ultrasound exams is preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided. -Ability to work independently and follow protocol. -Ability to define challenges, analyze problems, and develop and implement solutions in a proactive and positive manner. -High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment. -Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity. -Ability to communicate effectively with customers. -Demonstration of computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. -A valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle for transportation of equipment, a reliable means of transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
