Leaders Connecting With Leaders Event

Dec 1 | News, WVMA News

Wisconsin’s veterinary medical community is lucky to have active leadership and has greatly benefited from their input, advice, and contributions throughout the years. It has enabled the Wisconsin veterinary community to thrive. We witnessed this again at the November 4 WVMA leadership event at Monona Terrace. Past and present WVMA board members and local VMA board members came together to engage in discussion on the future of veterinary medicine.

WVMA President-Elect Dr. Sarah Novak moderated the evening’s panel. Panel members gave academic, state, national, association, legislative, and diagnostic assessments and speculated on what the future might bring. Past board members and their guests commented they felt the evening fueled positive and productive conversation and rekindled connections lost over the years.

We asked each attendee to invite an emerging leader, and many brought a coworker, CVT, practice manager, mentee, or student who felt passionate about veterinary medicine. New ideas and input are welcome; if you are interested in making your voice heard, reach out to reserve a spot at next year’s leadership event.

We want to thank our sponsors, Boehringer Ingelheim, Gateway Services, Huntington Bank, Madison Veterinary Specialists, and Wells Fargo, who made this event possible.
