Dr. Karl Solverson Appointed to the VEB

Karl Solverson, DVM, of Viroqua, was appointed to a four-year term on the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board by Governor Tony Evers. The VEB is comprised of five licensed veterinarians, one veterinary technician, and two public members. 

More than two years ago, Dr. Solverson joined Central Animal Hospital in Onalaska as a small animal practitioner and continues to operate his separate practice for farm animal medicine. 

“My experience in small and large animal clinical practice and my past board and leadership experience will allow me to offer valuable insight,” says Dr. Solverson. “Giving back to my community and profession is important to me.” 

Dr. Solverson graduated in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin– Madison School of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis in food, animal production, medicine, and surgery. He serves on the UW SVM Board of Visitors. In his local community, he serves on various committees supporting the Vernon County Fair, including as a member of the Meat Animal Sale Committee and as a veterinarian at the fair.
